We have an exciting line up of articles and announcements for the editorial this week.

Firstly, we are very excited to introduce our latest contributor, Tony Fernandes, who keeps a very popular blog which chronicles his travels within Libya - and these all in a one-day weekend!  Tony has not only allowed us to republish some of his writings on his travels but he has also joined our regular contributor team.  We’re so pleased to have him on board and know that you’ll enjoy reading about his observations while on assignment in Libya.  Read his first published travel article here and here in our travelling adventures section, and you can read more about him here on our about us page.

Sarah has also been busy with a timely article on Eid al-Adha, which you can read here.  You’ll learn all you need to know (and possibly didn’t want to know!) about the Islamic celebration taking place this week.

In the event that any of our readers are invited to celebrate Eid al-Adha with their Libyan colleagues or neighbours we’ve also republished an article from Sarah’s We Are Food  blog, which illustrates ten rules for communal eating, Libyan style.  Armed with this information you’ll fit in just like a local!

Meanwhile the rest of the team have been busy sipping lattes in some of the new cafes around town.  A hard job but someone has to do it!  A review of the latest cafe to open, The Coffeeshop Company, is in our eating out section.

For those of you who are celebrating this week we at Look Out Libya wish you a very happy Eid al-Adha and we wish happy travels and a safe return for those who are holidaying this week.
